Irish Dancers Stamp out Cancer

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

As most of you know l lost my Father-in-law to Cancer in January. In the past few years Irish Dancing has suffered the same loss to some of our Teachers and Lay People. Other members are thankfully in remission at this time

I am organising a worldwide raffle with prizes donated solely connected with our culture.  A Dress from Eire Design and Waistcoat from Elevation Design. Vouchers from Camilla Rose, for Hair accessories and the Irish Jig Shop and Flossies for footwear. There may well be more prizes by the time word gets out.

I know lots of you do various fund raising ideas and l do not want to overlap on this. This is the Dancing Worlds chance to try and raise as much as we can for Cancer Charities.

The tickets will be £5 Sterling,  5 Euros, 5 US Dollars 5 Canadian Dollars and 5 Australian Dollars depending what Country they are purchased in. I feel there should not be a currency difference just because of where we stay. There will be 10 tickets in each book and they can be accessed by contacting me by email or telephone.

I hope that each Region will sell tickets at their various Qualifying events. l will discuss this with the Reps this weekend. I will have tickets with me at meeting for this purpose.

The draw will be at the December meeting of An Coimisiun as l plan to sell them at various events including Great Britain Championships.

Please support this raffle and make as much as we can to help in the fight against this terrible disease.
